Things I learned from Roswell
September 23rd. Journal entry one. I'm Liz Parker and five days ago I died. After that, things got really weird... [...] But then the really amazing thing happened. I came to life.
That's the way it all started, back in 1999. Nothing is ever the same again after you go through a near-death experience or watch a show like this one. One learns many things along the journey.
Here are a few things I learned from the Pilot
✓ Nothing is ever the same again after you go through a near-death experience.
✓ If somebody stares at you, don't be freaked and don't be an unbeliever. A great Love can be hiding in their eyes and you may be missing a golden opportunity to be gloriously happy.
✓ Put the life of your loved one above yours. No matter what.
✓ Always dispose of incriminating evidence against you or your friends.
✓ Moments of extreme tension are not ideal times to make jokes.
✓ If you break a sacred pact, it's not enough to say you're sorry.
✓ There is nothing more intimate than sharing your soul completely with the person you love, specially if they don't feel the same way toward you.
✓ It's not a good idea to blackmail a friend who's keeping a secret from you. You may not like what you discover.
✓ After a really shocking revelation, people have every right to babble.
✓ No one secret lasts forever.
✓ What is a party for the insiders, is a nightmare for the outsiders.
✓ Safety is irrelevant when one is in love.
✓ Some people don't really know what it means to live... until they die.
